Molasses Cookies

2 1/4 cup AP flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp ground allspice 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 sticks softened butter 1 egg yolk 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup molasses 1/3 cup of white sugar for coating cookies. Preheat oven to 350° mix together the first 6 ingredients and set aside. In stand mixer mix butter and both sugars until fluffy add in egg yolk and continue to mix. add vanilla and molasses and mix. Turn down to low and add in flour mixture. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper and scoop out batter by 1 tablespoon. place in sugar and coat. Bake in preheated oven for 11 minutes.
