Chick, Egg and Nest DIY Fuzzy Sock Plushie/Crochet Tutorial

Hi everyone! Spring is finally here, and to go with the chicken plush I made in a prior video, today I'll be making some chicks, eggs, and a nest. The eggs and chicks are sewn with fuzzy socks, and the nest is crocheted. As promised, here's the the full materials list: Chick: -Scrap of yellow fuzzy sock -Something to mark the fabric with -Needle and thread -Fabric shears -Something to use as stuffing (toy stuffing, fuzzy sock scraps, yarn scraps, needle felting wool, cotton balls, etc.) -Brown needle felting wool -Needle felting needles -Needle felting mat -Eyes (Embroidery thread knots, beads, flat-backed beads and superglue, etc.) Egg: -Scrap of white fuzzy sock -Something to mark the fabric with -Needle and thread -Fabric shears -Something to use as stuffing (toy stuffing, fuzzy sock scraps, yarn scraps, needle felting wool, cotton balls, etc.) Nest: -Tan worsted weight yarn -4 mm crochet hook -Stitch marker -Scissors If you don't have some of the skills/materials to make these, you can improvise some components. For example, you can make the beak of the chick out of polymer clay and leave a hole in it for sewing, kind of like a bead, or you can wet felt or needle felt the nest. One of the things I love about this project (besides how cute it is) is the mixed mediums, which leaves a lot of room to make it your own. Small nest crochet pattern (fits one egg or chick): Rnd 1- 6sc in magic ring (6) Rnd 2- 2sc in each st (12) Rnd 3- (inc, 1sc) repeat 6 times (18) Rnd 4- (inc, 2sc) repeat 6 times (24) Rnd 5- Sc in each st (24) Refer to video for instructions for finishing. Large nest crochet pattern (fits three eggs or chicks): Rnd 1- 6sc in magic ring (6) Rnd 2- 2sc in each st (12) Rnd 3- (inc, 1sc) repeat 6 times (18) Rnd 4- (inc, 2sc) repeat 6 times (24) Rnd 5- (inc, 3sc) repeat 6 times (30) Rnd 6- (inc, 4sc) repeat 6 times (36) Rnd 7- (inc, 5sc) repeat 6 times (42) Rnd 8- Sc in each st (42) Finish in the same way as the small nest. By altering the number of rounds you increase for, you can make a custom nest to fit however many chicks and eggs you made. I made a nest that was slightly larger than the pattern for the large nest that was able to fit five chicks, so you can have fun customizing the size.
