Urad Dal is a nutritious Gujarati dal recipe which can be an excellent everyday recipe. This dal can be enjoyed with hot phulka or steamed rice. Adad Ni Dal is a popular Gujarati Dal recipe which is prepared in ghee with tadka of dried red chillies, cumin seeds, green chillies, hing and some ginger. Recipe: Ingredients – 1 Cup Boiled Urad Dal 2-3 Dried Red Chillies 5-6 Chopped Green Chilies ½ Inch Chopped Ginger 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing) ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder Salt Ghee Method – 1. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, hing, dried red chillies, chopped green chillies and chopped ginger. 2. Sauté the ingredients well. 3. Now add turmeric powder and stir well. 4. Add the boiled Urad Dal and mix well. 5. Add salt as per taste and water as per requirement. 6. After a boil add handful of coriander leaves. 7. Adad Ni Dal is ready to eat.
