Many cars require you to pull the dash to replace a leaky heater core. Not so on a first or second gen Miata (1990 - 2005)! I'll show you the complete process on my 1994 NA Miata using the original copper style core. The whole job was $40! The aluminum cores on the NB are nice but come with a really annoying v-band style clamp for the pipes -- really a pain to work with. Instead I use a pre-owned core with a small modification. I also show a simple way to do a core bypass if you're not ready to replace it yet.
