Here's the first part in the EaganMatrix Overlay Programming set of videos. This is intended for those who are programmers who wish to code up their own Overlay application (though only basic programming skills are required if you have a Midi library that can send an arbitrary sequence of CCs). Because most of the Overlay interface is not using standard Midi CC controls (for example what a typical Midi controller would support), some programming is required. The first order of business being supporting the new 14-bit bipolar and unipolar macros - which is the main focus of this video. With 14-bit macro control you can create some very nice overlays without worrying about the more complex Overlay functions that will be covered in upcoming videos.
