I'll give you a quick walk thru of the boat and briefly cover carpet prep. In chapter, I cover tools and materials needed for the boat carpet job. In this video, I demo two different types of carpet adhesive, as well as contact cement. We use 20 ounce bass boat carpet in this project. In chapter 2, I demonstrate carpet grain variation and how light reflection shows carpet in different colors. I'll go over the carpet a bit and show you how I cut it. In chapter 3, I will demonstrate step by step how I carpet an aluminum hatch lid. I go in depth here. In chapter 4, I demonstrate how I wrap a resin sealed wood part for a boat. I use carpet glue and show the stapling process as well as how I make a rolled corner. In chapter 5, I demonstrate how I wrap an aluminum deck within an aluminum bass boat. This deck has lid cut outs and a livewell. I'll show how I glue it down and cut out for pedestal base and lid returns. In chapter 6 I will show how I wrap the lid returns with carpet. This is a bit detailed but can be done easily using contact cement and my method as I demonstrate.
