Let's Listen - Albion NEO by Spitfire Audio (Unboxing!)

This is a very informal listen to the latest library in the acclaimed Albion Series from Spitfire Audio, Albion NEO. https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-... My initial thoughts - Library is beautiful, weird and VERY unique/niche. Avant-garde meets Minimalist European synth wave, haha Strings are incredibly detailed, sounding more like solo strings or a quartet that a symphonic section or even a chamber section, they are incredible. Woods are beautiful, mostly soft and VERY breathy, the saxes are beautiful and have a very dark, warm, and mellow tone and mix in perfectly with the other winds. Brass, again, is incredibly mellow and breathy, you will NOT get a modern/thick brass sound with this, but that's exactly what I expected. Euphoniums and Flugelhorns here offer a beautiful and truly unique sound. Harmonium - a nice addition, but wish it had short notes, still, it sounds beautiful. Brunel Loops - more melodic that I expected from being a HUGE fan of the Brunel Loops in Albion ONE. Probably my least favorite section, but still very quality stuff, just very specific. These, probably more than any other section, will instantly show you the style this library was designed to cover - ambient, weird, textural, synthy, avant-garde. Segla Textures - breathtaking, almost worth the price of admission alone. Stephensons Steam band - very very good, more synthy than Segla textures, and I'm honestly not quite sure exactly what the difference is between the two. A beautiful and experimental library, NOT for those looking for a "main" orchestral library. Legato isn't very convincing. Long, textural sounds are the main standout here, and on this aspect it truly knocks it out of the park. Thank you for watching!
