The terrain of the route was a combination of riverside, field and woodland paths and tracks; plus some short road sections, pavements and drives. One path was waterlogged and difficult to negotiate. The walking was easy to moderate, mostly on level ground with some gentle ascents. Route finding was easy with obvious paths and tracks, good waymarking and good landmarks.
