Culture shock as an international student: My experience

Hi all, welcome back to my channel. In this video, I talked about interesting culture shock that i experienced as i came to study in the UK. Following my move to the UK, i experiences differences in teaching and learning style. This is different from Nigerian learning style. Other things such as change in weather, i never experienced short winter days before travelling to the UK (lol). Also, i had things such as interaction with my lectures and the ease to ask questions, very shocking. Coming from Nigeria, this is different because we do not relate so easily with our lectures. This video is just to share my experiences and prepare your mind for differences in environment as you come to study your course. Please note: This video draws on my experiences of studying in the UK #internationalstudent #lecturer #highereducation #fellowship #uk Who I am : I am a lecturer in public health in a higher education institution in the UK. I came into the UK as an international student. Using strategies that I will be sharing on this channel, I was able to secure a PhD scholarship on my first application. So in essence, I discuss useful academic tips to maximise benefit of being a student in the UK. I draw on my experiences as both student and an academic to propel you to success.
