Metal detecting with the Garrett REAPER coil

A new day a new adventure. Today we do some metal detecting with Annemiek from Simons metal detecting. She was selected by Garrett to test out the new REAPER coil. And she asked me to have a go with it too. The reaper coil is not for sale in the Netherlands yet so it is extra cool to be one of the first to test it out. The fields where we went metal detecting do not hold to many finds. But when a target is there most of the time it will be a deep target. The Garrett REAPER coil is very big but not to heavy if you have some muscle in your arms. We tested the REAPER coil on a few holes and compared the signals. Most of the time the signal was clearer with the viper coil. It took me some time to get the settings right. But in the end the REAPER coil dit a good job finding some deep targets. I can say the REAPER goos deeper for sure. Used under the right circumstances you will have a lot of fun with this new Garrett coil.
