Chante Moore blessed Yoshi's Oakland with 2 sets the night before (March 7th, 2014)...and added 2 more shows at Yoshi's San Francisco the next night (March 8th). I made it to both shows Friday and rushed to the 2nd set of Sat in SF and thankfully I did. Here's "Don't Make Me Laugh" from Chante's first album in five years Moore is More. Chante has noted the CD to be a reflection of her life at the moment, communicating songs that are often aggressive, happy, joyful, and bubbly. Chante delivers the 4th song on Moore Is More "Don't Make Me Laugh" and explains LIVE that it's a song about the times when everything is breaking down yet you must continue to smile and put on a happy face - even when you don't want to. The new CD Moore Is More includes a cover of jazz classic "Cry Me a River" and the inspirational "Jesus, I Want You" that she also performed this night.
