Farrah Rachael Forke was born on January 12, 1968, in Corpus Christi, in Texas. She started her acting career with a role in a Texas production of the musical The Rocky Horror. She later moved to New York City and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and in 1991 made her feature debut in the film Brain Twisters. Forke gained more recognition when she played the role of helicopter pilot Alex Lambert a veteran of Desert Storm for two seasons on the NBC sitcom Wings. The part was a recurring role during the 1992-93 season, and a regular cast role the following year. Forke also had a recurring role on Lois and Clark as Mayson Drake, an attorney who considered Superman a vigilante, but held a candle for Clark Kent. Her character was killed off in a car bombing. However, Forke would once again take part in the Superman universe by voicing the character Big Barda in two episodes of Batman Beyond and one episode of Justice League Unlimited, animated shows set in the same universe as Superman: The Animated Series. She later took a break from her acting career to raise her twin sons,, Chuck and Wit whilst making occasional appearances at comic book conventions. After Wings, Forke played Carey, an office manager for a computer software company, in the 1995 CBS sitcom Dweebs (1995), and then, from 1996 to 1997, a prep school teacher in NBC's Mr. Rhodes. She also appeared on Ned and Stacey with her old Wings castmate Thomas Haden Church. Following the news of passing tributes trickled from fans and celebrities among those was actor Steven Weber, who played one of her love interests on Wings, posted a tribute for Forke on Instagram Wednesday. "Farrah Forke has passed," Weber wrote. "She was every bit as tough, fun, beautiful, and grounded as her character 'Alex' on Wings. 🖤." The actress is survived by her two sons; her mother and stepfather, Beverly and Chuck Talmag her three sisters, Paige Inglis, Jennifer Sailor, and Maggie Talmage; and her best friend, Mike Peterson.
