This is a step by step guide on how to assemble a tilt steering column. A diy steering column rebuild will help you to save money rather than buying an lmc truck steering column or a brothers trucks steering column. The column I'm using is from a 1986-1991 Chevy squarebody but this tutorial will work for most 80's era gm steering wheels and gm steering columns. Whether you do or don't have cruise control, intermittent wipers, a manual, tilt, high beams or other features, this will work for almost any steering shaft with minor differences. I chose to do this steering column restoration because I have a 1982 K5 Blazer with dash mounted wipers and I want column wipers and intermittent wipers.
