Google Maps is a tool we all have access to, but often, we only utilize it when traveling further afield. This behind-the-scenes photography video is all about pinning local locations and photo subjects on the map, then visiting each one in a short period of time (while, of course, trying to capture a couple of pleasing images at each pin). Not only is this a fun way to approach photography, but it also helps you gain some creative ideas while expanding your knowledge and skillset when it comes to finding new photography locations. It also encourages you to get out and take photos of subjects or places you might often overlook or not think twice about, which can be a real breath of fresh air in the "Instagram banger photography" era. Finding locations and new subjects is normally the most frustrating part of photography, especially if you've been doing it for many years. But doing this "pin and shoot" style of photography and making sure you dedicate time to really studying your local area on Google Maps has uncovered some incredible hidden gems for me over the last few years.
