Is the Xbox 360 still worth it in 2021?

The 360 is a legend that continues to live forever. With console market expecting new players let's see if the 360 can face up to the competition. With the Xbox 360 series turning 15 years this year, it is interesting to see how the 360 stacks up ahead of the Xbox series x launch later this year. Guys welcome to the channel and let’s see if the 360 is worth it in 2020? At the time of the 360 launch Microsoft had just entered the gaming market with average success with the original Xbox. This time around Microsoft had aimed the 360 as a direct competitor at Sony’s Play station 3, deemed to be the most powerful console ever to be made. The 360 as compared to the ps3 had a more elegant design that was not to bulky. A main advantage that the Xbox had was that it was easier to be developed for than the ps3, which resulted in games often looking better on the 360 as compared to the ps3, even when the play station had more graphical power. At launch, the 360 was at the top of the game with a tri core IBM processor clocked at 3.7ghz and 512mb of gddr3 ram. It had a custom ati gpu which was clocked at 500mhz. In paper the specs don’t seem to play out good, but that is not where the 360 competes. It is in the actual gameplay in which the 360 shines at. The 360 came with historic exclusives such as the forza motorsport and horizon series, and the ever so popular halo series that we have all enjoyed as a kid. On top of that Microsoft added another addition in 2010 to the 360 series: a newer slim model that was capable of motion sensing, known as the Kinect sensor. Microsoft’s aim for this was to include physical engagement with the console such as the ability to play virtual sports. The 360’s controller is one that everyone loved due to its ergonomics and comfort in hand as compared to the ps3’s thin and light weight DualShock. The xbox’s controller was designed so that you access the shoulder buttons and triggers by you pointer and middle finger, the right thumb to click on the buttons and to use the right joystick and the left hand for the left joystick and the d-pad. The controller design and layout was a classic, whose basic ideas were improved over in the xbox one. At the end of the day, the 360 packed a lot of bang for buck. You know the saying that “legends never die.” Well, that is what the 360 would be best described as. In 2020, the 360 may be out of the game when compared to newer consoles, but for as less as $50 in the 2nd hand market the 360 is well worth it in 2020.
