After defeating the Black Waltz, the team attempt to rush South Gate before it closes on them, however the Black Waltz isnt finished and begins pursuing in his own airship. He attempts to fire magic at the ship but Vivi counters with his own magic, heading into South Gate, the Black Waltz's own magic ignites the engine of his own airship causing it to blow up, damaging South Gate and allowing the team to escape to Lindblum.
