Suggested Level: 4 (Elementary: 1-3; Intermediate: 4-6; Advanced: 7-9; Master: 10) This Eb Major Waltz (Sostenuto) is rarely heard, but it is brilliant in its simplicity. The autograph of the piece showed the music was composed in 1840, but it was published after Chopin’s death. Chopin didn’t give this piece a title, so the publisher just used the tempo indication “Sostenuto” as the title of it. Some edition classified this piece as an appendix of Chopin’s waltz collection.
