NOTE: The 290 counter in Cave Story 3D counts slow. 1 second in the game equals 1.66 seconds in real life. If my calculations are correct, this would be equal to 2'34"6 in Cave Story+. However, all Cave Story Hell Speeduns are counted using the 290 counter, as if you tried to count using a regular timer, it would include things like loading screens. So while this is the Cave Story 3D world record, it is NOT faster than the other Cave Story Hell speed runs. With that out of the way, Cave Story 3D is a really interesting version of the game to speedrun. It's janky as hell, the controls for switching weapons are reversed, and it's hard to tell what the things on screen ARE. Plus, you have to do it on a 3DS. However, to compensate for all that, you get more health and a less competitive category. However, let's be honest, it's less competitive because no one wants to play it. Is this run perfect? NO. Far from it. I could probably get sub-1'30 if I really tried, but I probably won't, because I want YOU to do it. I want to see how low this category can go. Oh yeah, and actual video soon (probably)
