After a break of a few years Bob Branch organised a week of charters on the narrow gauge railways of Wales which took in the Ffestiniog, Talyllyn and Vale of Rheidol Railways. This video covers the 5 1/2 days at the Ffestiniog which saw the eagerly awaited return of Baldwin No.608. Sadly the loco suffered from badly leaking tubes on the Sunday and with a number of other problems was not fit to run on any of the following days. Scenes included in the video as follows; Baldwin 608 and 'Prince' near Hafod Ruffydd, solo at Boston Lodge and entering Porthmadog across The Cob. Posing with 'Russell' at Pen y Mount Between the tunnels in the Aberglaslyn Pass and finally a diiferent view at Hafod Ruffydd 'Hugh Napier' and 'Lilla' with skip wagons at Minffordd and Boston Lodge 'Russell' at Nantmor, Aberglaslyn Pass and Beddgelert 'Prince' departing Porthmadog 'Merddin Emrys' entering Porthmadog and then passing Boston Lodge 'Taliesin' slipping into Minffordd 'Merddin Emrys' and 'Taliesin' at Rhiw Goch and a view of 'Taliesin' at Cei Mawr 'Merddin Emrys' at Dduallt 'Taliesin' at Campbells Platform 'Blanche' at Cei Mawr and Tanygrisiau Reservoir 'Merddin Emrys' at Tanygrisiau Reservoir 'Palmerston' and 'Taliesin' in the Aberglaslyn Pass 'Palmerston' and 'Prince' climbing through Beddgelert Forest to the summit of the WHR at Pitt's Head Many thanks to Bob Branch and all involved at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways and the WHHR for organising the event
