In this final installment(Part#3of3), we begin with the Southbound Wever Turn, stopped at the foot of Main St. in Keokuk Iowa, under the Mississippi River Bridge. It is well after dusk, and the Harvest Super Moon is illuminating everything as though dusk has been perpetuated indefinitely ! Kinda 😎 COOL ! With klaxons and red lights blazing and blaring, the brake release can barely be heard, and they begin to ease their way to the west end of the yard, which is where I am heading next. I like the lighting down here and get some good shots of the car exchange. They drop off 15 of 60 they brought back from Wever, the balance being 45 Fertilizer Loads. They pick up 70 mostly loaded outbound general merchandise and a lot of Corn Syrup Tanks. 115 mostly loads heading back to West Quincy tonight. As they pull up out onto the main with the outbound cut, I reposition myself to catch them making their reconnection from a place I can also watch them accelerate out of town from . After that, I head for Alexandria Missouri for one last run-by under that bright Harvest Moon and forelit by the Tobacco Outlet Store . Sounds corny 😕 but hey , this is almost Iowa 🙄 !
