Welcome to Si's world and Learn to Improvise, You can download and print the pdf's of this video on my patreon channel;   / si_musical_journey   Here is 10 phrases that were created on the clarinet, then transfered to the other instruments. These are 4 bar phrases that are repeated 4 times. They use quite a bit of syncopation and use semi-quavers but the tempo is fairly slow at 83 bpm. I recorded my-self jamming along to the track on clarinet and then chopped the good bit's into phrases. then I had to transcribe my own playing :-) (a little tricky) . When I am just improvising, I tend to be more creative than just writing down phrases from my head into notation as the ideas are shaped by the sound, quirks and limitations of the instrument in question. So what I improvise on clarinet would be flavoured differently than if I improvised on any of the other instruments. So then, especially on piano or guitar you get to see/play with a clarinet perspective involving breath, tounge and different specific fingerings. I will also do the same process on other instruments with this specific backing track so you can see/hear/compare the different flavourings.
