... riding without neck ring is more challenging for the riders seat and it is more difficult to help the horse for a better head-neck position. My mare is great even without. Funny that it practically never happens that my mare is afraid of something - but that day she was for few seconds on dynamit :-) Interesting experience :-) And great to know that even in critical moments I can stop her again, easily.
