Mammoet’s Hydraulic Climbing Jacks offer a simple and efficient solution for moving objects vertically. Compact and easy to mobilize, every unit can lift or lower loads up to 600 tons. A simple jacking operation requires a minimum of four climbing jacks. The jacks are available in several sizes, allowing customers to select the optimal jack for each operation. This clip illustrates how a climbing jack works. The piston in the jack extends, raising the object one stroke. Two timbers are slid underneath the jack, and the jack is lowered onto the timbers. The piston is then is retracted, and three additional timbers are slid underneath the piston, allowing the climbing jack to repeat the procedure until the object reaches the desired height.
