In this thrilling conclusion of our Johar Valley adventure, we embark on the final leg of our trek to the majestic Sunanda Devi (Nanda Devi East) base camp. This part of the journey is filled with breathtaking landscapes, vibrant flora, and serene natural beauty. 🌸 Journey Highlights: Ganghar to Sunanda Devi Base Camp: We begin our trek from Ganghar, surrounded by blooming flowers and lush greenery. The path takes us through a magical forest of Bhojpatra trees, whose bark was historically used as paper for ancient scriptures. Along the way, we also encounter the beautiful White Rhododendron (Buransh) trees. Mountain Streams & Glaciers: Our trek is adorned with sparkling mountain streams flowing from nearby glaciers, creating a picturesque and refreshing atmosphere. Meeting the Locals: We cross paths with local villagers who are on the mountains in search of Yarsa Gambu (Keeda Jadi), sharing stories and learning about their unique lifestyle. Glacier Views: We reach the base camp and take in the stunning views of the Sunanda Devi Glacier, part of the second-largest glacier in India, the Milam Glacier, which is part of the Trishuli mountain peak. Capturing Memories: We spend time soaking in the beauty, clicking pictures, and enjoying the tranquility of this awe-inspiring place before heading back. 🏡 Return Journey: After a memorable day at the base camp, we trek back to Ganghar and then proceed to Burfu village, where we stay at a cozy homestay for the night. The next day, we make our way back home, reflecting on the incredible journey we've had, the unforgettable memories we've created, and the wonderful people we've met along the way.
