In this video, we’re going to talk about COPD or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is also often called emphysema. Symptoms of COPD can include: • Shortness of breath • Coughing • Mucus COPD is a chronic condition that often leads to pulmonary hypertension. This is when the blood pressure in your lungs increases, which causes a lot of stress on the right ventricle of your heart. This will eventually weaken the heart and cause edema. You have little pouches called alveoli in your lung tissue. When you have COPD, these pouches become deformed as a result of inflammation and irritation from smoke or some other chronic inflammatory substance. Alveoli exchanges CO2 for oxygen in the blood. While the lungs try to heal, your body creates scar tissue in your lungs, also known as fibrosis. As this scarring builds up, you lose your ability to exchange CO2 and oxygen, which is why you have difficulty breathing. What can you do for COPD? Here’s what research shows: 1. Get plenty of tocotrienols (300 mg) 2. Boost your vitamin D (40,000 IUs) 3. Fasting 4. Keto 5. Vitamin C 6. Osha root 7. Mormon tea 8. Vitamin B1 9. Stop smoking - smoke and nicotine are big problems when it comes to COPD Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
