The Conway Scenic Railroad's 50th Anniversary Celebration - Part One; The Freight Train

Here it is folks! The first section of a two part video :O This video only consists of the photo freight train, which ran from North Conway, down to Conway, back up to North Conway, up to Bartlett, and then finally back to North Conway. A second video will come later with the Valley trains and Buddliner shuttle services. (It was all too much to shove into one video!) August 3rd 2024, was the first of a two day event held by the Conway Scenic Railroad to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The day primarily consisted of a short photo freight train with x-Maine Central GP7 #573, which was dressed up as Boston and Maine #1560. The 470 club-owned Boston and Maine F7 twins #4266 and #4268 were also kicking around that day to take the valley trains to Conway; Where they sat for a photo op with the newly relocated Flying Yankee! A stainless steel streamlined passenger train set that ran for the Maine Central and Boston and Maine railroads respectively. The Conway Scenic's RDC Buddliner "Millie" was also present that day, making shuttle trips between North Conway station and the Conway freight house. While it was cloudy and misty for most of the morning, it quickly cleared up in the afternoon for the evening trains. A huge thank you to Conway Scenic Railroad, 470 Railroad Club, Flying Yankee Association, and many others for making this event a historic weekend for all! Another big thank you to my buddy Matt from the ERAU Railroad club for coming up for the event! I'm sure you got some great photos! Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy, and have a great day! BUT MOST IMPORTAINTLY Happy Birthday to the Conway Scenic Railroad! Here's to another 50 years of pure New Hampshire railroading, and wonderful memories.
