7/3 - 7/10/96 Mac and Sonny talk at the Outback and he is concerned about Sonny's business and and informs him that there is a rumor going around someone wants a piece of Sonny's territory and is planning to move. Brenda has made Jax breakfast. He has arranged for them to ride a hot air balloon.She wants to take a rain check She tells him that she is meeting with Katherine at the Outback and plans on telling her that she decided to work for Jacks Cosmestics, maybe they can do it on the 4th of July. He wants to go with her but she tells him that she needs to do it by herself. She can tell that he wants to be with her so she tells him he can meet her there if he wants to come. Jax thinks about the words he heard from Brenda still thinking it was about Sonny and the green eyed monster is beginning to show. Jason comes in with papers showing that Mac was right, someone is trying to move in on Sonny. A Kansas City Group has sent a rep to schedule a meeting with him concerning one of his transportation Networks. It is a large chunk of territory and has a large revenue. Sonny wants Jason to set the meeting up. Jason leaves and Sonny makes a phone call to the the rep. Brenda sees Sonny at the Outback and they talk. She tells him she is meeting with Katherine to tell her she is signing with Jacks Cosmetics. She asks if he has been taking care of himself. He tells her he is fine and she has the break the habit of worrying about him. He wants her to live her life and be happy. She tells him that things will work out for him too. Jax comes to the Outback and looks through the door and sees Brenda sitting with Sonny. Katherine comes in and meets Brenda. She is not happy to know that Brenda has decided to sign with Jacks Cosmetics and that she never planned on working with Deception all along. Sonny meets with the Kansas City Rep. He tries to explain to Sonny about the benefits of merging with their company. Sonny tells him he is not interested and that he works alone. The man reaches for his jacket pocket inside when Jason jumps the gun and pulls his gun on him. The gentleman asks Sonny to call Jason off and Jason tells him he has a gun and pulls it out of his pocket. The man assures him he was reaching for a cigar and places them on the table. Sonny tells him to let his boss know he is not interested and the man leaves. Sonny asks Jason what does he think he was doing? Jason responds that he was protecting him he thought he was gonna pull his gun on Sonny. Sonny is not happy about him jumping the the gun like that which could get him killed. Jason tells him that Sonny could have been dead on the ground if he had thought it through. Sonny responds, "not this mother's son." Brenda comes back home raving to Jax about how she handled Katherine. She doesn't notice that he is a little stand offish. Her cheery mood soon rubs off on him and they embrace and kiss. Jason tells Sonny that he is confused with the mixed messages. Why give him a gun if he wasn't supposed to use it? Sonny advices him that he has to keep his cool and be on top of his game. Jason tells him that maybe he should quit before he does something stupid. Sonny tells him that is not the point and he likes having him around. He mentions that he concerned about the info on his transport Network the gentleman had and he wants to know where he is getting the info. It is revealed that Harry Silver is behind it and is back. He wants money to retire and tells him flunky that Sonny most never know he was behind it. The guy asks Harry what he did to Sonny. Harry doesn't respond.
