Downtown Paso Robles and Tin City - New TRENDY part of town

On this video, we went to downtown Paso Robles. Here we saw a vibrant downtown area with quite a few places A lot of wineries set up tasting rooms here so it becomes a one-stop shop for people that just want to do the wine tasting and are OK with not going to the vineyards. Some wineries only have tasting rooms here and other have tasting room both in their vineyards and in downtown. In addition to wineries, there are also microbrews, distilleries, restaurants and plenty of shops to visit. There is also a nice park area where we were fortunate enough to see during Veteran’s Day. We didn’t stay too long in downtown Paso Robles though. As a matter of fact, we actually left before lunchtime so we can visit the area of town called Tin City. Tin City was originally a place that was pretty industrialized. There used to be plenty of warehouses and car repair shops. After some of those businesses moved on, some enterprising people converted some of the warehouses into shops and restaurants. Pretty soon, it became an area where microbrews, wineries, distilleries, restaurants and shops started going to. Next thing you know, its one of the trendy places to be. We certainly enjoyed our time there. We really like the Paso Robles area even though it’s a little far. As a matter of fact, it’s closer to the San Francisco Bay area than from where we are in San Diego county. If you’re looking for a new place to visit, check out Paso Robles. It’s a nice break from the Napa, Sonoma country wine regions up north. It’s still not a developed or refined maybe as those areas, but it’s really nice nonetheless. Besides, it’s probably cheaper.
