Despite the planet's rich biosphere, it was declared inhospitable for human colonization due to high volcanic activity and large amounts of carnivorous alien life. The planet was subsequently abandoned and remained uninhabited and largely unexplored. Despite being suboptimal for colonization, FMM UV-32 gained a reputation for its unusual alien life, much of which bears great resemblance to prehistoric animals from Earth. The "Dinosaur Planet" grew infamous among Earth and her colonies, eventually drawing the attention of entrepreneur Elias Henriksen. In the 2250s, Elias Henriksen purchased FMM UV-32 and formed the DinoHunt Corporation with the help of investors and a benefactor, Serhiy Vereschagin. Elias avoided attempts to colonize the planet, and instead sought to turn the planet into a great game reserve, enticing hunters with the chance of hunting real dinosaurs. DinoHunt Corporation developed custom technology, purchased weapons in bulk, and surveyed the planet for the best locations and creatures to hunt. In 2260, the first hunting tour on the Dinosaur Planet opened, becoming a major success among wealthy customers.
