I'm going to show you how to make buttercream icing without a mixer. The key is to start with butter that's at room temperature. I'm going to start I just hold it I get a firm ball and a wooden spoon. But you can see how I'm starting to cream it just a little bit. And after I break it up I'm going to add drizzle in just a little vanilla. But I'm going to put in here about two cups of powdered sugar. And with the back of the spoon I just mash the butter into the powdered sugar. Then I'm going to beat it by hand.
