In todays video I discuss one of my all time favorite broadheads! That being the Grim Reaper Whitetail Special! Im a firm believer that both fixed and mechanical broadheads have their place in the woods and the archery industry. If used properly this head can be absolutely devastating! By properly I’m meaning that your pulling enough draw weight and have a heavy enough arrow to get this broadhead to perform as it was intended to! Grim Reaper claims that it takes 65 foot lbs of kinetic energy to get the Whitetail Special to perform and operate properly. With the bows I shoot and my draw weight and draw length I have zero issues but there are people that will. If you’re pulling less than 55 lbs I personally wouldn’t recommend this model. Grim Reaper has a huge selection of broadheads with cutting diameters ranging from 1 1/8” all the way up to 2”+! I guarantee you they have a broadhead that’ll work for you and your setup.
