However US traffic rules remained and all vehicles were running on the right side. But on July 30th 1978, the traffic rules finally changed back to the Japanese way and vehicles started running on the left side just like all other places in Japan. They built a monument and people started calling this place 730 Crossing. You can see the sign engraved on the rock of the monument showing the traffic change from right side to left side. One more trivia. You saw a statue at the end of this video. That is a monument of a former boxing world champion Yoko Gushiken who is from Ishigaki Island.
