Prefabricated houses enjoy many benefits over their on-site, brick and mortar equivalents - they can be built in a day and in use within a week. With much of the UK in the midst of a severe housing shortage, you would think that prefab houses were an ideal solution, but prefabs have something of an image problem in Britain - likely rooted in their association with post-war austerity.
