Solo Weekend Hike in Vikafjell, Norway, Early September

It is early september, and I go for a weekend hike in the gentle mountains of Vikafjell, Norway. It is late when I arrive at Vikafjell, and the skies are colored red by the setting sun. There is some wind, but I find a sheltered location to pitch my tent. I boil some water for my supper, and watch the moon rise. The next day I wake to blue skies and calm winds. I make a quick detour to Grønnebakktoppen, a vantage point that overlooks the lake Store Rappavatnet, before I continue to Fiskedalsvatnet with high hopes of catching some fish. I then head to Store Rappavatnet and make camp for the night. Again I try my luck with the fishing rod, but I am too eager and end up losing a fish that would have made a nice supper. I light a small fire down by the shore and enjoy the view of Store Rappavatnet before I go to sleep. As I head home the next day, I am thinking that it would have been nice to stay for a few more days. Music by: https://www.bensound.com
