C64 SID-wizard 1.2 vs 1Raster-Tracker

#NecroPolo #C64 #chiptune You can support future releases @ direct: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/Necro... bandcamp: https://necropolo.bandcamp.com/ facebook:   / necropolo   twitter:   / necropolo_8580   instagram:   / necropolo_8580   Although these have completely different core player codes, the layout and the interface are somewhat similar, by the same programmer: Hermit. SIDwizard was intended to be a fully featured C64 native tracker while 1RasterTracker was to break a 8-bit world record of being the most efficient yet functional music tracker that was ever released on C64 and reach a barrier that cannot be pushed further. I could tell stories about both as I was honoured to be invited as a beta tester for both. As a result, I tried to suggest including a bridge between these awesome native trackers and modern DAWs (studio recording softwares) where composers can use all of the newest workflow boosting tricks. The solution was a MIDI converter tool that can import any 3-channel MIDI file. In the practice, you compose your chiptune using your favourite studio software on any platform using MIDI maps, use the MIDI converter of these trackers, import the note (music) data, then set the sounds and finalise the tune. The workflow is drastically faster and more efficient than using the tracker alone for composing. So the reason of this VS video is to demonstrate the MIDI converter for both as it worked perfectly back in time during beta testing. The sounds are of course different as SIDwizard is a fully featured garage while 1RasterTracker is just a tiny toolbox with barebone raw essentials. You can download both from: http://csdb.dk/release/?id=117935 http://csdb.dk/release/?id=131846 The tune is a remix of a '80s C64 game track called 'nautilus', according to my knowledge the composer is unidentified to date.
