INFINITAS - Civitas Interitus (2017) Actually I've not really into Heavy Metal stuffs except Black, Death or Thrash and recently Viking/Folk Metal. Anyway Civitas Interitus seems had changed my musical taste a lil bit. Its all because of the folkish touch which was really relaxing my mind. Yes indeed, the folk sounds was played really well in between the heavy riffing and it makes the sounds quite good. Well, they were Heavy Metal bands afterall yet they have managed to create a very nice music together with folk taste. I guess they have did a very good job in this debut album. It will definitely being their benchmark to create more great stuffs in the future. Ok, we have 10 beautiful trax in this album. Most of the sounds quite slow, melodic and melancholic yet sometimes blended by the heavy catchy sounds. I was actually really love Andrea vocals style. It seems that she have a two face in this album hahaa.. Sometimes she was a very pretty lady with the enchanting voice yet suddenly she had turn out to be an ugly old witch with the hellish screaming hahaa.. Hah, its all sounds really nice afterall hahaa.. Ok one more things is that Laura the violin player really make this album impressive as she had managed to produced a very nice folkish sounds thru out the songs. Unfortunately she had left the band. Hmm.. an extra info as written on their bio that this album actually is somekind of conceptual album. I guess it might be something to do with the old Medieval concept as it was also featured in their album cover artworks with the castle, ship, sea, mountains and so on. So, I would say its a great job done by this not so young Swiss in this Civitas Interitus. Well eventhough they have only an EP and an album todate yet they have been in the scene almost 10 years. I guess those long years might be the times for them to gather all great ideas before unleashing such an impressive album. Ok, for your info Metalmessage had done the promotion for this album.
