Brightline Construction: Double Track Test Trains in Melbourne/Palm Bay - June 2023

This Brightline Construction update looks at the test trains that were run as the final step in the process of activating 14 miles of new double track through Melbourne and Palm Bay. These test trains ran over two days testing all of the possible signalized routes a train could take between CP Pineda, CP Melbourne, and CP Malabar at both 10 mph and 79 mph. These trains also assisted in timing the new crossing protection. 110mph testing in this area will be done at a later date. This is all being done as part of Brightline's Orlando Expansion, opening Summer 2023. Check Out My Social Media Pages!
