One of my favorite improvisational performances, captured by Dan Chapman at the World Stick Conference in San Jose, California, November, 2003. It had been a wild month, with seminars in Germany and Michigan right before this one. I had not cut my hair for a year, and the concert had been chaotic up to that point, when I took the stage for my first public performance with a brand new Stick, #4965. So grateful to the audience for their attention and to Dan for sending me this higher res version of the video file for re-posting. And especially to Emmett Chapman for making such an amazing instrument, and leaping up to the stage to turn off the rattling snare drum as I shook the house!
