Dino’s Tinker Shed, S2-Ep18. I install a Safari fuel tank on a DR650. In this episode I re-install my 30-liter Safari tank onto my DR650. This is a great tank for long range riding and expands the DR650’s fuel range, from around 250km to over 500km. The tank itself is very large and some riders feel it adds too much weight to the top of the bike however I do not find this the case and really do not notice any adverse effects on handling other than it makes the front end a bit harder to pull up if the tank is full of gas. I do find the routing of the fuel lines a bit challenging and, in this video, I will show you how I changed the routing this year to simplify my system.
