Redoing a playthrough I made half decade ago. I am playing Vendetta, which was made by Konami in 1991. The Japanese version is titled as "Crime Fighters 2", so that mean it's the sequel of Crime Fighters. It's about the team of the vigilantes named "Cobra", who got to rescue Kate from the hands of Faust and his gang named "Dead End". The heroes are Blood, Hawk, Boomer and Sledge. The heroes are able to punch, kick and stomp, pound or slam. Also they got two 2-button special moves: a jump kick or slam (punch+kick+forward) and strong punch or strong kick (punch+kick). They can also grab the enemies, when they are dizzy. There are several weapons to claim: baseball bats with the nails, knives, shotguns, bottles, Molotov's bottles, chains, brickstones, etc. You can also throw the objects on the opponents. Like in the first Crime Fighters you have to fight all the bosses again in an extra stage after a final boss fight. There are two versions of this arcade game: the censored one, which is American or worldwide and the uncensored one, which is Japanese. In the uncensored version you got to fight the horny guys in the BDSM outfits, who literally sexually assault you. The dogs in the final stage are doing the same. Also one of the bosses Missing Link sometimes says "F**k you.". No wonder why the American publishers censored this arcade game. The music is pretty catchy for the early 90s cartoony vibes and graphics are nice. It's an another one of the beat'em-ups from my childhood, but I used to be playing the American version back then. Anyway, it's an another one of Konami's classics worth playing.
