Bajrayogini Dance Named after the goddess, Bajrayogini, this is one of the ancient classical dance of Nepal. According to the Buddhist tantric tradition, there are four Yoginis or tantric goddesses in the Kathmandu Valley. Bajrayogini is depicted as greatly pleased with her devotees for their prayers and there upon shovering blessings on them.Once upon a time of Kathmandu was ruling by Malla dynasty long time ago. Malla dinasty want to keep their country in a very strong position always and they do confidence by themself to worship Goddess "Bajrayogini" for to get the strong power and protected the peoples and the nation. The meaning of Bajra is Thunderbolt and Yogani means Yogi became BAJRAYOGINI [Strong yogini Goddess] So Buddhist Tantrick [the devoted of malla period] they were danced with a appearing of Bajrayogani to make her happy in an occasion of festival, gradually this became an ancient classical dance of Nepal, which is based on Tantric Buddhism. Of particular importance are the symbolic movements of hands and huger dexterously timed with general body movements and facial expressions.This dance demonstrates a beautiful blend of wrathful feelings and peaceful motions, suggesting at the same time a strong sense of protection and preservation. It is preformed particularly in the Buddhist temples on special occasions of going through the rituals. Still the Temple of Goddess Bajrayogini is situated about three K.M. from Kathmandu valley. Bajrayogini is a Goddess of Power.
