I played at the street piano in Tamachi Tower in Tokyo in March 2024. I wanted to go to this piano because it was just installed in December 2023. The location is not a busy place, but there is an escalator right next to it and there are so-so people passing by. The piano is a YAMAHA upright piano. This piano had the characteristics of YAMAHA, and it was an amazing piano that seemed to be more YAMAHA than YAMAHA. I don't know how to describe this characteristic, but the sound was very bright and it sounded like it was overdriven. Maybe it depends on the acoustics of the installation location, though. Because this location is a building facing a main road, there is a fairly loud sound of cars driving by in the recording. However, I believe this kind of sound is also good for a street piano recording. This piano is the kind of piano I really want. I would like to come here again if I have a chance.
