Monster Hunter Frontier Z: Shiten Unknown Solo - Switch Axe F

The very first of many Frontier videos I've securely archived on my PS4 consisting a whole grand selection of monsters in the game that I find to be the most unique in forms of quality and in terms of how fun they are to fight. Naturally for me, Unknown makes for a fantastic start If anyone hasn't fully caught the general idea yet, Unknown is without a doubt my favorite monster in the entire game. My interpretation with this demonic and overly corrupt form of a Rathian hybrid, can be put to a fairly good note that the very air cast out through it's presence alone perfectly defines it as EXACTLY what the designers deliberately intended it to be. Just for the basic as shit concept, and I mean this genuinely, by calling it a complete mystery. And combining all of this for the setting in both Supremacy and Shiten that revolves around an obscenely gigantic scale of isolation and fear, and basically suffocates the atmosphere with immense feelings of dread, suspense, horror, death, and pretty much everything else associated to the element of darkness is constructed so perfectly. Although Zerureusu is essentially the exact opposite, since both are identical between their behavior and elemental properties bearing the same concept of attacks. (And Adaptation is still a pure fucking genius mechanic overall) In comparison, Unknown attains just as much like Zerureusu but amplifies them all with so much power that it ultimately forms the very culminated design structure of literally fearing the unknown. And oh my God, everything that it does for that very aspect by itself is incredibly effective beyond my belief. This is one of those underrated monster concepts in Frontier where something that acts and looks so boring and basic, suddenly gains more and more variety the longer the fight progresses. And Shiten Unknown is no exception for that matter at all. Especially since that very outset of "basic and boring" gradually escalates further with power, intelligence, and blood boiling rage that stacks over each other to grow even more powerful in strength, and dreadful in appearance. Exponentially raising that beginning into a compounded life and death situation struggling to survive and conquer the source of all fear where it lies right in front of you, demanding to deliver an ordeal just for simply looking right at it Both phases of the music emphasize all of this tremendously well. Completely acting like as if that the elements of power, rage, and fear, building up in a seemingly endless cycle are made to expect that what you are up against is officially classified as your own worst living nightmare. Phase 2 BY FAR defines that very characteristic so flawlessly as it powers up those elements in such deadly proportions that it's justified completely. The concept of fearing the Unknown. It absolutely appalls me to no end that something as basic as taking an ordinary Rathian, painted black, and banished into 1,000 eternities in Hell, could actually turn out to be so coddamn effective as a monster And fighting the Unknown is a fucking THRILL to experience. I just adore the concept of a monster assembling more attacks used from previous monsters in the game, gains more intelligence each time with every enrage state, and that parts of it's body change in appearance the more damage it receives. All the while making the situation grow more worse and intense. I love it so much to the point where I became addicted to this fight. Getting this slay took me weeks to complete. And I felt so rewarded after the best nightmare came to an end at last. Unknown is amazing. Nothing will ever change that
