As I mentioned earlier, I've become a devoted follower of Lord Muruga. My love for Him inspired me to observe the Shasti Vritham, a sacred 7-day fasting ritual, adhering to the traditional rules I've learned. For these seven days, I'll be following a strict regimen: one meal a day, sleeping on the floor instead of my bed, and consuming fruits only when necessary. Ideally, I should visit the Muruga temple daily, and I'm striving to do just that. This year, I embark on this spiritual journey with immense hope and trust. Although I'm not entirely familiar with the intricacies of the ritual, I'm following the guidance of experienced elders. Their wisdom has been invaluable in helping me navigate this sacred practice. To enhance my devotion, I've acquired a beautiful silver veil, which I'm eager to share with you. Despite the challenges, I feel deeply blessed to be undertaking this vritham. Undertaking this vritham isn't easy; numerous hindrances will arise. However, with the support of my family – my husband and child – I'm determined to persevere.
