I got this Incubator to replace the last small incubator that I had. I neglected to clean that incubator after a really big hatch and ended up having to throw it away. I was initially pleased when I opened the box and saw how clear that the outer shell was – I’d be able to watch the hatch with my view unobstructed! I’ll even be able to share a live video of the hatch! What I didn’t realize was how flawed the design was until I got a good look at the floor – there are spaces everywhere for tiny chicks to fall through, and even though the company gives you extra Styrofoam to place along the sides to prevent this, it doesn’t work! I’ve been incubating quail eggs for some time, and this isn’t the product you want to use for that. This incubator may be decent for larger chicks, but you will NOT have a good time if you use this for quail. I had three chicks get caught up in the fan below and die as a result. Even if you have a successful hatch and none of your chicks die, you’ll still have to dismantle this thing COMPLETELY – motors and all if you want to clean it properly… otherwise you’ll just have a stink box somewhere in your dwelling space. I don’t suggest it one bit. I sent it back to Amazon. This incubator is sold under the brand name WINICE (as per this link) but the same exact incubator can be found under a few different “brand” names on the Amazon website. I used this incubator to hatch quail eggs, and it was a complete disaster!​
