This video shows my simulator build using the dashboard from a 1990 Saab 9000 Carlsson. I have owned the Saab since 2002 and plan on restoring it into a LHD shell so the dash was not needed. This is my first sim build which took me a month or so due to waiting on parts. I have no experience using or building simulators, I relied on YouTube for help. After watching videos of Jimmy Broadbent / jimski10 and Matt Malone / showdown1983 I wanted to give iRacing a try https://www.iracing.com iRacing referral - https://members.iracing.com/membersit... I got the idea to use a car dash from Youtuber Blodo73 who used a BMW e36. • Here My First DIY Homemade Sim Racing... I wanted to use a digital dash due to the rev counter limit and lack of information available, a digital dash can show so much more for a variety of simulators and cars. Z1 dashboard was perfect and looks really good. Much better than I expected. https://www.z1dashboard.com I will add a drift style hand brake and a button box once I work out exactly what I need. Thanks for watching please like and subscribe check out my other videos to see the simulator been used in iRacing.
