Regular visitors to my channel will know how much i love Maxine Nightingale, and one of the reasons I do is thanks to this man. J Vincent Edwards was the composer of two of her biggest hits and joyous pieces of retro pop that still delight 40 + years later. As co-writer on 'Right Back Where We Started From' Edwards enabled the worldwide smash for Maxine and a year later his own composition 'Love Hit Me', the track he is performing here was another chart success for her. 'Love Hit Me' had been recorded and released by J Vincent Edwards in 1976. I've relaid the original audio to this TV Performance clip. Ah the 1970's fashion. Those white pants!
