Why Did Ancient Sith Lords HATE Palpatine and Darth Vader? Palpatine and Vader are undoubtedly two of the most successful Sith of all time. Yet some ancient Sith did not believe this to be the case. In fact some believed that Vader and Palptine weren't really Sith at all. The most direct answer to this question comes from Darth Momin, an ancient crazed Sith who once tried to freeze a city in time just for fun. He believed that Vader and Palptine were too focused on the Jedi, and their hatred for them had ironically made them like the Jedi. Instead of proudly conquering and enslaving through the dark side, they instead built and ruled the galaxy through a technocratic bureaucracy much like the Republic, with even their Sith identities kept secret from the public.
