For this livestream concert, The Afrojazz Gumbo will be playing primarily South African Jazz as a tribute to the social activists and South African jazz composers who helped to bring down apartheid in South Africa. South African jazz musicians and many of their songs were a constant inspiration in the fight against apartheid. The composers The Afrojazz Gumbo will be choosing from are: Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand), Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, Winston Mankunku Ngozi, Bheki Mseleku and Ibrahim Khalil Shihab.
