Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car! Beautiful morning to fly at Giga Texas and after a monumental US Presidential election that took many people by surprise. In the video introduction, I discuss the election briefly, especially the role Elon Musk played not only to help Trump get elected, but also the strategic calculation he made that of the two candidates and parties, Trump and he Republican party was in his estimation, the best choice for his various companies, but also his grand vision of where he wants them to go, including making humanity multi-planetary with an establishment on Mars. This gamble seems to have been successful as Elon will now also get a role in the new government that will further help ensure his vision becomes reality. Another topic I discuss in the video introduction is the huge Cybertruck delivery day in Canada on Monday. The indications at Giga Texas were obvious with a completely empty outbound lot. Several thousand Cybertrucks were transported up to Canada for this major event, with special presentations and activities for all of the new owners! Very cool and congratulations to everyone who now own a Cybertruck! Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 3:00 Drone flight footage & infographics: 3:21 to 28:59 A few other highlights to look for today include: I show the various items of the AP&T stamping press parts on the far west staging lot and at least one of these being unloaded from a SPMT via a portable heavy lift bridge crane on the east side of the stamping section of the main factory. This is exciting not only because the assembly and installation work is underway, but by starting now, this means most of this press will be ready for operation in early 2025, just in time for the start of production of some new vehicles and to continue the preparation to produce the Cybercab later in 2025! On the west side of the south extension, we see crews busy installing more of the huge glass panels and we see one of these glass panels being lifted by the counterbalanced yellow lifting jig. With the crews nearby, we get a great sense of scale of just how large these items are. One interesting observation is the mismatched window lines on this side of the factory where the original double think window line matches up to two lines, one of which is double the width ... this will likely need some rework on the existing concrete wall panels to make this more seamless in the coming weeks. For the first time, I noticed steam or more correctly water vapor raising up from the cooling plant, specifically the two north-most fan enclosures. Although the fans were not spinning, that was most likely due to the cold temperatures this morning at the time of my drone flight. This is great news as we know the Cortex supercomputer datacenter is growing rapidly and being used for training of FSD (and the Optimus Robots). On the south side of the electrical switchyard, a new clearing is being prepared that appears similar in size to the existing Megapack installation. This makes sense because a recent video covering the installation of XAI's Colossus Supercomputer Datacenter (another company owned by Elon Musk) mentioned Megapacks were necessary to ensure the proper electricity flow and managing micro frequency fluctuations that affect the operation of the computer systems. This location is well placed for another Megapack system and could use some of all the transformers we have been monitoring arriving at Giga Texas and stored on the west side.
